What it is, and why it matters.
Sliding doors solve tight floor plans. A barn door hangs from a rail on the wall and adds style, while a pocket door disappears inside the wall for a clean look. Both need solid blocking and careful layout so they glide and close properly.
We build custom doors from solid wood, finish them to match, install the track on a reinforced header, add floor guides and soft-close options and trim the opening neatly.

Rails are fastened to blocking, not just drywall.

Barn Doors and Pocket Doors: common questions
Do barn doors provide privacy?
They leave small gaps at the sides and bottom, so they offer visual privacy but less sound and light control than a standard door. Bypass and pocket doors seal better.
Can a pocket door go in any wall?
Not always. The wall must be free of wiring, plumbing and structural members where the door slides, and some walls need to be rebuilt.
